    Kioku is a tracker for anime, manga, light novels and visual novels that runs on your own computer. It is made first for Windows and works on macOS and Linux too. Your library lives in a database on your computer, syncs with AniList, MyAnimeList, AniDB, Kitsu, MangaBaka, Shikimori, Simkl, Bangumi and VNDB, sends to Trakt, plays your episodes in mpv or follows the player you already use, reads your manga and light novels, and lets you watch together with friends. Kioku speaks English, Slovak and Czech.

    New in 2.108.0

    • With the daily digest on, each episode is told once: since 2.103.0 the next digest listed the day's episodes again under Also.
    • When AniList answers again, everything that waited goes out at once and the bell says so once, only after it all went.
    • Home can hold one pick of two titles for those who rank by picking, and your order shows titles rated alike at their shared place.
    • Saved choices such as tier lists and your picks are never replaced by an empty copy when they could not be read.
    • Play in watch order keeps a remake you are watching and leaves out what you dropped, and pressing it again no longer queues everything twice.

    • Your picks are safer: picks made quickly one after another are all kept, nothing is picked before your picks are read, and the Undo of a toast takes back only its own change.
    • The Planning and Paused cards can come in the order of how well titles fit your taste, the least first to clear the list or the best first to choose what to start.
    • A title placed in your picks keeps its place exactly, and a title left out comes back when you place it.
    • Help explains ranking by picking as it is now.

    • While AniList does not answer, search and Discover use your Kioku server's catalog.
    • Studios on Taste play the openings of your best liked titles too.

    • The library sorts by how well titles fit your taste, handy for going through a long Planning list.
    • Your top six by picks makes a picture to share once they are settled, and a tier list can start from your picks.
    • Each genre and tag on Taste plays the openings of your best liked titles, shuffled.

    • Notifications are told once and on time: a digest due inside quiet hours goes out when they end, an episode that is put off is told again when it airs, the clock change on 25 October neither doubles nor drops a digest, and news written at once is never cut off.
    • While AniList does not answer, Home says so in one quiet line with how many of your changes wait. When it answers again they all go out at once, and the bell says how many.
    • A franchise plays in watch order: every episode still to watch, title after title. Seasons plays the openings of what you watch this season, and Play their openings can take the endings too (Settings > Player and files).
    • The queue shows its count beside Watch, takes an item back with Undo, can be ordered and trimmed from the phone remote, and the player in the corner shows what comes next.

    • The sleep timer can stop when the queue ends, and it now lasts across episodes: a timer set before the next episode started was forgotten.
    • The playback speed you choose stays for the next episodes.
    • Repeat is kept with the queue, so turning it on from your phone works for the computer too. Q on a title's page puts it in the queue.
    • While a service is down for everyone, Kioku says to try again later rather than in a moment.

    • Fixed: the schedule lost the last hour of the week the clocks go back (this Sunday, 25 October, in Europe): an episode airing Sunday between 23:00 and midnight was in neither week. Weeks now count calendar days in your time zone.

    Kioku is a tracker for anime, manga, light novels and visual novels that runs on your own computer. It is made first for Windows and works on macOS and Linux too. Your library lives in a database on your computer, syncs with AniList, MyAnimeList, AniDB, Kitsu, MangaBaka, Shikimori, Simkl, Bangumi and VNDB, sends to Trakt, plays your episodes in mpv or follows the player you already use, reads your manga and light novels, and lets you watch together with friends. Kioku speaks English, Slovak and Czech.

    New in 2.100.0

    • Changes waiting for a service are never given up because the service could not be reached: a computer offline for a day, or a service that kept failing, no longer loses them.
    • Services says plainly when a service could not be reached, has Send now beside the next try, and Retry all for changes given up. A waiting change can be dropped.
    • The help explains what happens to your changes while a service is down.

    • Fixed: while AniList's API is turned off, your changes waiting to go there were given up after about a day. They now wait however long it lasts, and the ones already given up go out once AniList answers again.
    • Play on the Watch page's On this computer shelf plays the next file of each title, one after another.
    • A queued episode that is on your computer plays even before the schedule says it is out.
