2026-10-19 13:45:16 +00:00 | 939 commits to main since this releaseKioku is a tracker for anime, manga and light novels that runs on your own computer. It is made first for Windows and works on macOS and Linux too. Your library lives in a database on your computer, syncs with AniList, MyAnimeList, AniDB, Kitsu, MangaBaka, Shikimori, Simkl and Bangumi, sends to Trakt, plays your episodes in mpv or follows the player you already use, reads your manga and light novels, and lets you watch together with friends. Kioku speaks English, Slovak and Czech.
New in 2.31.3
Subtitles that take your look and keep up with the picture.
- Blu-ray subtitles (PGS) are drawn over the video instead of into it, so choosing them no longer re-encodes the picture or makes it stutter. With your look over the subtitles' own, they take your text and outline colours, size and height.
- Your subtitle look now replaces styled subtitles fully in mpv as well, colours and italics set inside a line included, and a change shows at once in an episode already playing.
- The audio and subtitle tracks you choose for a show are chosen again on its next episodes, on every device.
- Subtitles inside a file are read once, gently, while the episode starts, and kept, so turning them on or switching tracks is at once and does not read the whole file again while it plays.
- DVD and TV subtitles, which are still drawn into the picture, work again on videos above 1080p.
