2026-10-20 06:10:58 +00:00 | 806 commits to main since this releaseKioku is a tracker for anime, manga, light novels and visual novels that runs on your own computer. It is made first for Windows and works on macOS and Linux too. Your library lives in a database on your computer, syncs with AniList, MyAnimeList, AniDB, Kitsu, MangaBaka, Shikimori, Simkl, Bangumi and VNDB, sends to Trakt, plays your episodes in mpv or follows the player you already use, reads your manga and light novels, and lets you watch together with friends. Kioku speaks English, Slovak and Czech.
New in 2.44.0
Visual novels on the server, and a sync that stops asking.
- Titles no longer ask to be removed from your Kioku account on every sync. When the server knew a title by another ID (its MyAnimeList number, say), a change on the server made a second copy in your library, and the first was then asked about each time, even after Put back. Kioku now keeps them as one title, puts copies made this way back together by itself, and closes those questions.
- Every visual novel from VNDB is in the server's catalog, read by a job that keeps it up to date, so the website finds them in search too.
- Google Books is left alone for half a day after it says no, instead of being asked again at every start.

The first sync is always a preview that changes nothing until you apply it.To play episodes in Kioku's own player, install mpv; or keep the player you have and let Kioku follow it.
